It’s the AMVCA season, and as usual, everybody is about to turn into a fashion critic overnight. From group chats debating best dressed to Twitter timelines analysing every stitch and silhouette, the red carpet has become almost as important as the awards themselves. But honestly? We love to see it!
Over the years, some celebrities have built strong relationships with designers who simply understand their vibe perfectly. These fashion pairings have given us some of the most unforgettable AMVCA looks ever.
As we count down to the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, here are some celebrities and the designers we think they’ll trust to deliver another iconic red carpet moment this year.
Osas Ighodaro

It’s been a beautiful maternal ride for our beloved Veekee James. She may not be in Nigeria, but seeing how the Veekee James team have pulled out many breathtaking outfits in her absence, we expect to be blown away.
With Veekee James’ track record over the years at the AMVCA, she seems to have bagged some loyalists. Osas Ighodaro is one and looks like it will remain for a long time.
Liquorose

Liquorose already has a winning fashion formula with Prudential Atelier, and to be honest, we don’t see her leaving the brand anytime soon. After clinching Best Dressed at the Cultural Night last year, expectations are sky-high.
With her energetic personality and love for vibrant statement looks, let’s expect another red carpet moment filled with colour, drama, and confidence.
Funke Akindele

To be honest, Zackstyling Luxury is always on point with Funke Akindele’s outfits. He makes her always look like the force that she is—simple but noteworthy.
Sometimes it is Toju Foyeh; on other days it’s Studio by Youme. On many days, Somo by Somo does it for her.
If Somo did it for Behind the Scenes and the Return of Arinzo premiere, Funke Akindele might continue to pay homage to Somo by the Somo brand. It will be a shock to not find the maestro in a bold and bright fit by Somo.
Papaya Ex

Papaya brings drama and storytelling to the red carpet. Last year’s iconic banana-inspired look by XtraQueenDesignz proved that she’s fully committed to fashion theatrics.
We don’t know what story she’d tell this year, but Tiannah’s Empire might just be the one to bring it to life. Whether we love it or hate it, Papaya will definitely have everyone talking.
Akin Faminu

Amstel Malta’s Sleek MVP in the 2025 edition of the AMVCA— he wore a regal fit by Ugo Monye for the Cultural Night, and he ate up.
For the Awards Night, Deji and Kola did magic with the sleek black tuxedos. It wasn’t the regular. It had one sleeve blooming with bold red-and-green floral embroidery, like a garden stitched onto armour.
This year, Faminu is likely going to do Rouge NG for the Cultural Night and Deji and Kola again for the Awards Night. Anyways, the ‘F’ in Faminu is for ‘fashion’; he will always ATE!
Ebuka

Ebuka has cultivated a reputation for choosing bold, simple and detailed fits over the years, and Mai Atafo has indulged him.
Together, they’ve produced some of the most memorable menswear moments on the AMVCA carpet. Whether it’s sharp tailoring, intricate details, or bold structure, Ebuka always carries every look effortlessly. ATAFO’s favourite muse will most likely continue the tradition this year. No debate.
Beauty Tukura

After winning Best Dressed two years in a row (2023 and 2024), Beauty Tukura is definitely not coming to the AMVCA to play safe. The beauty queen has built a reputation for serving elegant, polished, and head-turning looks every single time.
Veekee James and Prudential Atelier both perfectly understand her soft-glam and refined style. It won’t be surprising to see her step out in another breathtaking look from either designer. One thing is sure, though: Beauty will arrive looking like the prize herself.
Saga

Saga came through with pure steeze at the last AMVCA. For the Cultural Night, Amdiddyy gave him a look that screamed rich culture with a modern twist. Orange Culture, on the other hand, always delivers a smooth and stylish fit that matches Saga’s calm-but-confident aura perfectly.
This year, Saga might just stick with the winning formula. Amdiddy and Orange Culture know how to balance edgy and classy on him. One thing is certain – Saga will not come to play with fashion.

Stan Nze

The host for the cultural night has to feed our eyes to their satisfaction. Stan Eze’s regal look every year makes you want to wake up seeing an Igbo man every morning.
Stan Nze has quietly become one of the most regal men on the AMVCA carpet. His Cultural Night appearances always feel rich in heritage, elegance, and masculinity.
Amdiddyy understands his traditional style perfectly, while Izu Udokwu’s craftsmanship could give him another commanding Awards Night moment this year.
Toni Tones

Toni Tones loves fashion that feels soft, feminine, and timeless, and last year, Styledejavuu and Yemi Shoyemi delivered exactly that. From cinched silhouettes to graceful detailing, her red carpet looks always highlight elegance with a touch of drama.
This year, we can easily see her returning to Styledejavuu for the Awards Night, while Beccaneedlesstitches might give her a stunning cultural night look. Whatever they cook, expect sophistication, structure, and effortless glamour.
