Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence and Former Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle celebrated a family milestone on February 6, 2025, with the marriage of ten of his children—five daughters and five sons—in a magnificent joint ceremony at the National Mosque in Abuja.

His daughters, Maryam, Safiyya, Farida, Nana Firdausi, and Aisha, were given away by the minister, while his sons, Ibrahim, Abdul Jalal, Surajo, Bello, and Fahad, also exchanged vows.

The ceremony was officiated by Imam Luqman Zakariyah, who prayed for Allah’s blessings on the marriages and the couples’ future lives.

The event was attended by family members, friends, and prominent figures. Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu played the role of Wali during the wedding Fāti’a. Dignitaries, such as Carlos Manuel Vila Nova, President of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, were also present, adding to the grandness of the occasion.
