A High Court at the Federal Capital Territory in Maitama, Abuja, has ordered Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s son, to produce his American passport in court. The order came as hearing continued in a $2.1 million land-related suit on Tuesday, September 29.
Justice Sylvanus Oriji issued the directive after claimants’ counsel, Hamza Dantani, applied for the passport during cross-examination of the defendant.
What Led to the Order
Jordan told the court that he was outside Nigeria on September 26, 2025, and had travelled using his American passport. He added that he could produce the passport if required. 
The counsel then applied for a formal order compelling its production. The judge granted the request and adjourned the matter to Wednesday for continuation.
It was also reported that the court directed Jordan to write his full name and signature five times each on plain sheets of paper, in connection with documents whose authenticity is contested in the case.

The Allegations
The suit, marked CV/008/2026, was filed by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited.
They allege that Jordan agreed to facilitate the purchase and acquisition of 30 hectares of land in Katampe and another 30 hectares in Guzape.
They say he demanded $2.1 million in facilitation fees. $2 million was allegedly intended for his father, the FCT Minister, and $100,000 for himself.
According to the claimants, the money was delivered on September 26, 2025, in the presence of three witnesses (Adamu Sani, Aliyu Sarki, and Sai Wani), while Jordan was accompanied by Onor Sandy. They claim the land was never secured and the funds were not refunded. Some accounts also link the transaction to a joint venture agreement involving other companies.

The Defence
Jordan has denied the allegations. He adopted his statement on oath in court. His defence also disputes the claimants’ account of the alleged transaction and maintains that he was outside Nigeria on the date the claimants say the payment was made.
The court has not made any final determination on the merits of the case, which remains ongoing.
