I don’t need to watch another Stan Nze interview to anticipate the question of why he married fellow actress Blessing Obasi.
Even Blessing, in an interview with Ifedayo Agoro, spoke about the intense criticism she gets online, but she chooses to ignore the trolls. 
One time he was questioned for marrying a woman older than him by 10 years. He said, “I married my friend, someone who gives me peace. Someone I am extremely comfortable with.”
Why is Stan Nze Always Questioned for Marrying Blessing Obasi?
I mean, he gets asked this question in every single podcast or interview. Here’s how his recent conversation on Morayo’s show went:
Morayo: “You’re married to a full-figured woman. A lot of men or a lot of girls who are skinny always feel like they’re the ones that get the hot guys. But you, confidently and boldly in love and married to a full-figured woman, tell us what you are enjoying.”
Stan Nze: “I have plenty; there is so much to hold on to. My plate is full, and my hands are always full, but the truth about it is more than the figure, more than the shape, and more than the figure eight. I’m all about looking good.”
What an insult if I’ve ever seen one. There are many things that are wrong with Morayo’s statement, but I would like to highlight just three:
The inherent fat phobia
The belief that if one is skinny, one isn’t beautiful is dangerous both to skinny and not-so-skinny women. If women begin to chase being skinny as an ideal, it may lead to unhealthy eating habits or even plastic surgery to get that perfect figure. There is no reason to call her out for being ‘full-bodied’ as if her body type isn’t the norm in Africa. We don’t have to import European standards of beauty.

Women should be loved for who they are, not what they look like
Imagine believing that being beautiful and skinny somehow magically guarantees that you will be loved. Newsflash! Life doesn’t work that way.
Deep calls on to deep. A deep man isn’t just looking for a pretty face, but her heart, behaviour, and actions are what count. Only shallow men want only Instagram baddies because doing getting with them inflates their low self-esteem.
Attraction is subjective
Attraction isn’t always physical or even explainable. People like what they like, so to say, so asking a man why he is attracted to his wife is weird. You are basically calling her ugly and wondering what he sees in her.
They’ve been married for four years and seem happy and in love. The general public should really stop talking about their marriage.
