Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the incumbent president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He succeeded President Muhammadu Buhari following the 2023 presidential election.
Before becoming President, Tinubu served as the Governor of Lagos from 1997 to 2007, played a key role in forming the APC, and built a strong political network, especially in southwestern Nigeria.
He’s married to Senator Oluremi Tinubu and has six children.
Bunmi Oshonaike

Bunmi Oshonaike is known as a mother to one of Tinubu’s children. She has lived outside the public eye for many years until her son, Seyi Tinubu, publicly celebrated her in 2019 on her 60th birthday. She was also the mother of his first son, Jide Tinubu who died in 2017.
Oluremi Tinubu

Tinubu married Oluremi in 1987. She hails from the Ikusebiala family of Ogun State, where she obtained her Senior Secondary certificate. Oluremi received a B.S. in Education from the University of Ife and a National Certificate of Education in Botany and Zoology from the Adeyemi College of Education.
Even though she is married to a Muslim, Oluremi is a pastor who got her Post Graduate Degree from the Redeemed Christian Bible College. She was ordained a pastor in 2018.
Being First Lady of Lagos while her husband was Governor of Lagos from 1999 to 2007 was the beginning of her political career. She was later elected Senator representing Lagos Central in June 2011 and served till June 2023.
She has three children with Tinubu named Zainab Abisola Tinubu, Habibat Tinubu, and Olayinka Tinubu.

Olajide Tinubu

Jide Tinubu is the first child of the Nigerian incumbent president. He died from a cardiac arrest in a hospital in London on November 3 2017.
Before his death, little was known about him in the public domain. Mr. Jide Tinubu was a Law graduate of the University of Liverpool, England. He obtained a Master’s degree in Maritime Law from the University of London and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1999.
He was married with three children.

Folashade Tinubu-Ojo

The First Daughter of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, was born in June 1976 to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from one of his previous relationships.
She attended the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, where she studied Home Economics and went to Middlesex University in London, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. Later, Tnubu-Ojo obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Intercontinental University in the United States.
She succeeded her grandmother, Abibatu Mogaji in the role of Iyaloja (Market Head) of Nigeria in 2013 and has held the position till date.
Tinubu-Ojo also holds the title of Yeye Oba of Ogudu, given to her by Oba Waheed Ayinla Fashola, the Ologudu of Ogudu, on December 19 2016. In addition to this, she received a label from the Timi of Ede on April 10, 2018.
She is married to Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo, a Nigerian businessman, politician, and former member of the House of Representatives, with 2 children.
Seyi Tinubu

Oluwaseyi Tinubu was born on October 13, 1985, to Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Bunmi Oshonaike. He is an entrepreneur and CEO and co-founder of Loatsad Promomedia Ltd, an out-of-home advertising company. Seyi is also a member of the Board of several organizations.
He is a lawyer with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master’s degree in Corporate and Commercial Law from Lincoln University. Seyi Tinubu also attended Richard Ivey School of Business, the London School of Economics, and the University of Buckingham. Before further studies, he schooled at St. Saviour’s School in Lagos. He moved to Holmewood House School and Milton Abbey School in the UK. Seyi has never occupied a formal role in his father’s administration.
He is married to Layal Tinubu and has two children.
Zainab Abisola Tinubu
There is no widely verified public record of her profession, education, or public role. She maintains a low-key presence.
When she is mentioned, it is usually in discussions about the Tinubu family, but no confirmed official portfolio or career of hers is publicly available.
Habibat Oyindamola Tinubu

Habibat was born in October 1991 and has a more visible public persona, particularly in fashion and modeling circles in New York, separate from her parents’ political career.
She has been described in the media as a model and has faced public commentary in Nigeria for her support of LGBTQ+ rights and identification as queer.
Olayinka Tinubu

Olayinka Tinubu is the least publicly documented of the Tinubus’ children. There has been no verifiable public information about his career, education, or activities.
