The family of the deceased actor, Temitope Osoba, has issued an official statement to the public about the spread of false and unverified reports concerning the passing of the Nigerian actor.
According to an Instagram post on Osoba’s social media page, the family expressed its sadness and also informed the public not to disseminate untrue stories about the circumstances surrounding her death. The family stated that the numerous claims circulating on social media and various blogs are false.
The statement reads: “At this difficult time, we wish to categorically state that the numerous claims circulating on social media and various blogs regarding the circumstances surrounding her death are false, speculative, and entirely unauthorized. Following the passing of Temitope Osoba, people claimed that she died of cancer because the actor had previously shared her story, saying that she had cancer. This made people link cancer as the cause of her death, but her family has debunked those claims, stating that this is not exactly what happened.
Her family wrote that the public, including blogs, should refrain from sharing or promoting misinformation about the circumstances surrounding her death.
