Terra Industries, a defence technology company founded by 22-year-old Nathan Nwachukwu and 24-year-old Maxwell Maduka, has successfully raised $11.75 million in funding – one of the largest amounts raised.
The Investors
This significant investment round was led by the U.S. venture capital firm 8VC, co-founded by Joe Lonsdale, who is also a co-founder of Palantir.
Investors like Valor Equity Partners, Lux Capital, SV Angel, Leblon Capital, Silent Ventures, Nova Global, and several angel investors like Micky Malka were also part of the participants.

What Does Terra Industries Do?

Terra Industries designs and produces autonomous defensive systems that governments and infrastructure operators use to keep an eye on, secure, and react to possible attacks in the land, air, and sea.
According to their official website, throughout Africa, the company’s technology advancements are already actively safeguarding assets valued at about $11 billion, including mines and power plants that are essential to national security.
Furthermore, Terra Industries has built the biggest drone factory in Africa, a 15,000-square-foot production facility in Abuja, Nigeria.
