Pastor Nathaniel Bassey has urged unmarried men and women praying for marriage to abstain from sex until they marry their spouses. The convener of the Hallelujah Challenge gave the advice during the ‘dress like your miracle’ day of the prayer gathering.
Many singles had dressed like brides and he encouraged them to embrace sexual purity as part of their prayers for marital settlement. Bassey also urged them to make a personal commitment to God to reserve sexual intimacy for their future spouses.
“Those believing God to enter their marital destiny, as part of your prayer, if you are a sister here or a brother here, you will make a promise to God that you will not sleep with anybody who is not your spouse,” he said.

The pastor further encouraged those trusting God for marriage to honour Him through their conduct and choices. He urged them to commit to making their next sexual encounter one that takes place within marriage.
“That from today you will honour God with your body, that the next time you have sex it will be with your Godly ordained spouse,” he said.
Bassey’s message focused on sexual purity and the importance of aligning personal conduct with the commitments people make during prayer.
Pastor Advises Business Owners Against Cutting Corners
Beyond relationships, Bassey addressed business owners and professionals, urging them to commit their work to God and pursue success honestly. He advised them against cutting corners and encouraged them to exercise due diligence in their professional dealings.
The pastor also challenged those who had wronged others through business decisions to take responsibility and resolve outstanding issues. He urged them to make amends rather than allow past misconduct to remain unresolved.
“The same thing with the business people that you will not cut corners, if there are people you have wronged in business you make a decision that after today you are going to make things right,” he said.
His message called on both singles and business owners to demonstrate integrity through their actions and honour their commitments.
