Forbes has released its latest list of 2,755 billionaires worldwide, with 23 Africans on the Forbes billionaire list. Aliko Dangote from Nigeria seems to be unshakeable as he tops the list again, the 15th time, with a networth of $28.5billion.
According to Forbes, the billionaires added over $20 billion to their combined wealth, which is a 21% increase from 2025.
Abdulsamad Rabiu from Nigeria recorded the largest wealth increase on the continent this year. His net worth jumped 120% from $5.1 billion to $11.2 billion, driven by the strong performance of BUA Cement.
Also, a Moroccan real estate mogul, Anas Sefrioui, joined the Forbes Africa billionaires list this year. He brought the total from 22 in 2025 to 23 in 2026.

Worth $9.2billion and is number 370 in the world.

6. Mike Adenuga- Nigeria
Worth $6.5billion and number 617 in the world.

7. Naguib Sawiris- Egypt
Worth $5.5billion and is number 746 in the world.

8. Patrice Motsepe- South Africa
Worth $3.8billion and is number 1121 in the world.

9. Mohamed Mansour- Egypt
Worth $4billion and is number 1037 in the world.
