King Mitchy, whose real name is Mukoro Ereremena Michelle, is a Nigerian TikTok creator, philanthropist, and social media influencer from Delta State.
She built her reputation by posting videos of herself helping struggling Nigerians, including giving money, food, and shelter to people in need.
She gained millions of followers across TikTok and Instagram in the process; her work earned her recognition, including a Humanitarian Award at the Headies in 2025.
However, for the past few days, her name has dominated headlines for a very different reason.

The Fight With VeryDarkMan

King Mitchy’s feud with controversial activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), started over charity funds and school renovation projects.
King Mitchy publicly criticised VDM, accusing him of collecting donations but not using them quickly enough to renovate schools.
She also said she renovated a school in just six days and urged him to move faster and deliver results.
“VeryDarkMan I don’t dislike you,” she wrote. “All I am saying is you need to get to work. I changed that school in 6 days. You have held the donated funds for almost 2 years now, and you keep making content on trendy gossip instead of renovating schools.”
VDM did not let that slide. He alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s president, had been the secret financier behind King Mitchy’s lifestyle and projects since 2023.
He claimed she had been “licking his lollipop. ” VDM also tagged Seyi Tinubu directly and wrote that the school renovation projects were “products of your father’s failures” and described Mitchy as a “political tool.”
King Mitchy fired back, denying the lollipop allegation and warning him, saying “the day you come for me will be the beginning of your downfall.”
She also alleged that he orchestrated the takedown of her business Instagram page by mobilising his followers to mass-report it, resulting in its suspension.
The Half-Truths/Lies

In a bid to defend her credibility, Mitchy shared what she claimed was a WhatsApp conversation with the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, in which the monarch allegedly praised her work.
However, the palace later denied the authenticity of the chat, and Mitchy had to apologise for that.
Things also got worse for Mitchy when journalist Livinius Nwosu visited the school she claimed to have renovated and shared a video showing it still appeared dilapidated.
The pupils even alleged that only about four students received school bags, while others received nothing.
Then she admitted that the N100 million she had earlier said she received from Seyi Tinubu was a lie that she and comedian Carter Efe had planned together.
All of these new revelations dented her credibility.

Her last TikTok live: drinking Hypo on camera

The situation reached a shocking climax during a TikTok live session.
She appeared on TikTok Live and drank what looked like a sachet of Hypo, a household bleach product.
Before the live ended, Mitchy posted an emotional message on her Instagram story, asserting that she is a good person but nobody acknowledges it, and asking Nigerians to help take care of her mother.
Her management later confirmed that she was rushed to the hospital and that her condition became critical.
The Statement From Her Team
Hours after the TikTok Live, King Mitchy’s management posted a statement on her official page.
It read, “We are deeply heartbroken to share that our beloved Michelle has passed on. Despite all efforts from the medical team here in Abuja, we were told her condition was critical, and sadly, she could not be revived. Michi was more than a talent; she was family, full of life, light, and dreams. We ask for your prayers, love, and understanding during this difficult time.”
Her management revealed that she was rushed to the hospital after drinking the substance, with her chances initially described as 50/50, but she could not be revived.
Reports also emerged that her mother fainted in Lagos upon hearing the news and was taken to a separate hospital.
Is King Mitchy Dead?
As of the time of writing, the death has been announced solely by King Mitchy’s management team. No independent confirmation has come from the hospital to which she was reportedly rushed.
An influencer who visited Prime Care Hospital reported that the facility denied ever admitting King Mitchy.
Some social media users are calling it “emotional blackmail,” given the high drama of the entire saga, and until official confirmation from credible authorities emerges, the truth about King Mitchy’s death remains unclear.
