Otutochi “Tochi” Wigwe, daughter of the late Access Holdings Group CEO Herbert Wigwe, has celebrated her traditional marriage to investment executive Wilson Omogbale Aikhomu.
The colourful ceremony brought together members of the Wigwe and Aikhomu families, along with friends and loved ones, for the customary rites. These included the payment of the bride price, the signing of family documents, and the formal handing over of Tochi to her husband.
The Emotional Context
Tochi’s parents, Herbert and Chizoba Wigwe, and her elder brother Chizi, died in a helicopter crash in California on February 9, 2024.
A moving social media tribute by Titilayomi Olufosoye (a friend of the family) of Straps N Strides reflected on their absence and quoted Isaiah 61:3, describing the day as “beauty for ashes.” She expressed gratitude that Tochi could begin a new chapter despite the family’s painful loss.
