The Charges
Nwafor was arraigned on a three-count charge connected to conspiracy and cyberstalking. The police alleged that she and others still at large, sometime in June 2026 along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos, conspired to commit a felony.
According to the prosecution, the defendant acted with the intent to cause “annoyance, injury, fear, intimidation, enmity and/or needless anxiety” to Mrs Okoya.
The charges further claim that Nwafor participated in the publication of “offensive, false, malicious and calculated” materials on Instagram through the handles @cutie_juls and @truestorieswithifeomafa.
Police said pictures of Okoya alongside the defamatory statements were published online. The publication was described as “derogatory and calculated to invite mockery, ridicule, gossip, suspicion and scandal.”
Prosecutors stated that the alleged offences contradicted Sections 516 and 24(2) (1) (a) and (b) of Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015.
Nwafor who hails from Otunba North Local Government Area of Anambra State pleaded not guilty to all three counts.
Who is Folashade Okoya?

Folashade Okoya is the youngest wife of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya. She oversees one of Nigeria’s major indigenous manufacturing hubs under the Eleganza brand.
The case has drawn attention amid growing enforcement of Nigeria’s cybercrime laws against online publications perceived as harmful or defamatory. The matter was adjourned to November 8, 2026 for further proceedings, but Nwafor is expected to perfect her bail conditions before she can regain her freedom.
