Celebrated Abuja tour guide and content creator MC Miti gave his parents an emotional surprise after taking them to his newly built home.
Born Joshua Chukwuka Miti, the comedian welcomed his pastor parents and other family members into the beautifully furnished house. The emotional moment was captured in a video shared online by the content creator.
Family Overwhelmed by New Home
MC Miti first took his parents and relatives from his former residence to the new property. His family members appeared stunned as they explored the beautiful home. He proudly showed them around the rooms, which featured modern furniture and appliances. He also explained how some of the gadgets worked as they moved through the house. 
However, the tour soon turned emotional when his father could no longer hold back his tears. The proud father broke down while admiring his son’s achievement. MC Miti, who had initially comforted him, eventually became emotional too. The father and son hugged and consoled each other as they cried tears of joy.
His mother remained more composed but clearly shared their excitement and pride.
From Sleeping in Churches to Owning a Home
The tears carried a deeper meaning because of the family’s difficult past living in Abuja. MC Miti recalled how his family once struggled to find a safe place for them to live.
At one point, they depended on relatives and church members for accommodation. They eventually slept in a church, where benches became their beds at night. Food was also difficult to afford during those challenging years.
“My father will share us to different church members house to sleep every night as the uncomplicated building was no more safe for us.”
Despite the hardship, his parents raised six children and ensured they all became graduates.

MC Miti Celebrates His Parents’ Sacrifice
Reflecting on his journey, MC Miti described the new house as a testimony of how far his family had come. He praised his parents for their sacrifices and the values they instilled in their children.
He said they gave their children what he considered their greatest gift, their faith in God. His story has since resonated with many people who have followed his journey.
Sharing the emotional video, MC Miti encouraged people facing difficult circumstances not to lose hope. He recalled how his family once struggled to afford even basic necessities.
“We slept in an uncomplicated building for years, we were so poor, we couldn’t afford a matchstick box.”
Yet, despite those challenges, his parents raised six graduates.
MC Miti urged his followers to see his story as proof that difficult seasons can change. He also thanked God for bringing his family through their darkest moments.
The comedian is a University of Abuja graduate, where he studied Philosophy. He also holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Known for his knowledge of Abuja, he describes himself as a tour guide and content creator. He also hosts comedy events in the Federal Capital Territory, including an annual comedy show.
