Subomi Raheem Okoya, professionally known as Siraheem, has announced his decision to step away from the music industry.
The Nigerian Afrobeats artiste is the son of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya and businesswoman Shade Okoya. Siraheem started making music as a hobby with friends before pursuing it professionally.
He gained wider attention in 2024 after his song “Bad Bitch Syndrome” went viral. The release introduced him to a larger audience and helped establish his name in the Nigerian music scene. 
He later released more songs and worked with artistes including Teni. His catalogue includes “Credit Alert,” “I Go Pay,” “Anodabanga,” “Soweto,” “Kowope” and “TRU$T FUND.” He also released his album By The Order Of The City in 2026.
WHY SIRAHEEM IS LEAVING
In a statement shared on August 26, Siraheem said balancing music with his other commitments had become increasingly difficult.
He explained that he could no longer give music the effort, patience and dedication he believed it required.
The artiste described his time in music as a “magical” journey. He also reflected on the performances, relationships and recognition that came with his career.
His decision does not appear to come from a loss of interest in music.
Siraheem said music remains therapeutic for him. However, he no longer wants to release music professionally.

AN UNRELEASED ALBUM REMAINS
Despite announcing his exit, Siraheem revealed that he has been working on new material.
He said he had created what he considers the best music of his career. That work includes an unreleased album.
The artiste did not completely rule out releasing the project in the future.
His announcement therefore leaves the possibility of one more body of work from him, even though he plans to stop making music professionally.
WHAT COMES NEXT
Siraheem also said he plans to explore other creative fields.
The announcement marks a change in direction for an artiste who spent several years building a music career while managing other responsibilities.
For now, he is stepping away from professional music and turning his attention to new challenges.
His final message, however, left the door open.
He suggested that the future could still bring him back to music.
For now, Siraheem is choosing a professional exit from the music industry.
