Nigerian dancer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, will appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in the United Kingdom over an assault case.
The London-based court confirmed that it has listed the case for plea and trial preparation for September 15, 2026.
The court confirmed the development in correspondence sent on Tuesday, August 25. 
Court reveals details of assault case hearing
James Baker, the court’s Admin Team Lead, confirmed the hearing to Punch but said the court would not release the exact time or courtroom details until the day before the hearing.
In the correspondence, Baker wrote: “OFFICIAL. Good afternoon. I can confirm that this case is currently listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on the 15th September 2026.

“Criminal Court hearings are open to the public. Precise times and courtroom information will not be available until the day before the hearing. Many thanks.”
Benjamin Kuti speaks on Poco Lee’s UK legal case
The confirmation comes after the founder of the Community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom, Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby, said on Monday, August 24, that Poco Lee was in a UK prison and would appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15.
Kuti said he learnt about the development through his involvement in supporting Nigerians facing legal matters in the UK.
One of Poco Lee’s best friends, Rahman Jago also confirmed his arrest. The fashion and music entrepreneur referred to the dancer as his brother, due to their closeness.
He said Poco Lee’s situation is heartbreaking to him. Vouching for the dancer, Rahman claimed he believed there is more to the accusation than what people might have heard. See his tweet below:

He also said he regularly attends court proceedings involving Nigerians in the country.
The court’s confirmation now establishes that the case has been listed for plea and trial preparation on September 15. However, the court has not yet released the exact time or courtroom details for the hearing.
