Martins said the housemates prepared good meals because some of them knew how to cook. He mentioned Chimsom Chuka as one of the housemates who impressed him most with his cooking skills.

Speaking about the housemate who he thinks is playing the game well, Martins picked Chimsom Chuka.

He said Chimsom combines his acting ability with his understanding of the game and knows how to relate with different people in the house.

Martins claimed Chimsom knows how to “switch it up” with people and described his approach as similar to moving pieces around a chess board.

He said viewers could see Chimsom “splitting people like a chess board” as he touches different groups in the house.

Martins added that he hopes Chimsom makes it far in the competition.

Martins backs Araga and Goddessa

When NBG Africa asked Martins if he believed any of the romantic pairings in the house were genuine, he said he could not determine whether the relationships were genuine.

However, he expressed his support for Araga and Goddessa, saying they make a perfect pair.

Martins said the two housemates appeared to have chosen each other based on what he observed during his time in the house.

Martins names Temi Nkem as an underestimated housemate

Martins also identified Temi Nkem as a someone he believes housemates are underestimating.

He said Temi knows exactly what she is doing and argued that the other housemates were not paying enough attention to her.

According to Martins, viewers would see more from Temi if they give her more time in the competition.

He also named Chimsom Chuka when NBG Africa asked him which housemate he thought was hiding his true colours.

Martins said Chimsom was good at concealing his true personality but expressed concern that he could burn out before the end of the show.

He noted that the competition still had about seven weeks to run and said he hoped Chimsom could maintain his energy until the final week.

Martins said he would enjoy watching Chisom on his screen if he managed to last until the end of the competition.

He said unnecessary arguments represented one of the hardest parts of his time in the Big Brother house.

Martins recalls his birthday in the house

When NBG Africa asked Martins which day he would relive if he could return to the Big Brother Naija house for one day, he chose his birthday on 28 July.

Martins said the day stood out because “the whole world paused because of one man”.

He also revealed that this edition marked his third attempt to enter the Big Brother house.

Martins dismissed claims that aspiring housemates pay money to secure a place on the show, saying he had heard several narratives about people paying to get into the house but insisted that the claims were untrue.

He said he would have continued auditioning if the show had not selected him this year.

He explained that he would have returned next year or in subsequent years until he finally achieved his goal of entering the Big Brother Naija house.

Martins opens up about his late brother

The ex-housemate said he had made a personal promise to himself that he would eventually enter the BBNaija house.

He said he shared that promise with his elder brother, who supported his dream.

However, Martins said his brother died five years ago, just three days after his birthday, and did not live to see him fulfil the promise.

He became emotional as he recalled how his brother’s death affected his birthday celebrations.

Martins reveals his original strategy

Martins also claimed that he initially planned to use a “divide and conquer” strategy in the BBNaija house.

However, he abandoned the plan after he noticed that the housemates showed their true colours from the first day.

Rather than force his original strategy on the other contestants, Martins said he decided to go with the vibe and allow events in the house to unfold naturally.

Martins left the Big Brother Naija house after spending two weeks in the competition, becoming the first housemate to leave the 2026 season.
