Zimbabwean Man Kills Wife and Two Daughters in UK, Flees to Home Country

Two days after he fled to Zimbabwe, the body of his wife and children was found in their luxury home.

A senior IT manager, Ndodans Tshuma, also known as Mark, is wanted by the police for the alleged murder of his wife and two daughters.

The 45-year-old reportedly killed his family in their luxury Bedford home, after which he secretly boarded a flight to Zimbabwe.

On July 7, the attention of the Bedfordshire law enforcement was drawn to the home of the Tshumas after the mother and children were not seen around for some time. The Police then discovered the bodies of Zandile Tshuma (42), Natalie Tshuma (15), and Nala Tshuma (5) at the family’s detached home, which features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a swimming pool.

Zandile worked briefly in Tanzania before the family relocated to Bedford in 2011 while Natalie attended Bedford Girls’ School and Nala attended Pilgrims Pre-Preparatory School, both which were prestigious schools.

The CCTV footage from London’s Heathrow Airport shows that Tshuma passed through security on Saturday, July 5. He was dressed in black with a blue sweater and carrying a suitcase as he boarded a flight to Zimbabwe.

According to Tuko, Zandile Tshuma was a highly accomplished professional. She served as an Associate Director specializing in financial crime, fraud investigations, and anti-money laundering. Zandile had worked at major institutions including Barclays and KPMG, and previously studied at Midlands State University in Zimbabwe.

Motive and Family Strain

According to friends who spoke to the media, Zandile had grown tired of what they called her husband’s controlling behaviour. She had taken concrete steps toward divorce, including having the family home valued for sale. Tragically, the estranged couple were seen together at a school sports day the Friday before Tshuma fled the country.

Police Response and Manhunt

Bedfordshire Police have named Ndodana Tshuma as the prime suspect. Detective Inspector Lee Martin appealed directly to him:

“Mark, unthinkable harm has been caused to those around you, and this has left your relatives and friends utterly devastated. Criminal investigation knows no borders.”

Authorities are now collaborating with national and international agencies in the search, believing Tshuma is now in Zimbabwe.

The family of Zandile, Natalie, and Nala released a heartfelt statement expressing their “unimaginable loss”:

“During this time of unimaginable loss, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out with prayers, messages of comfort, and support.”

Friends of the family described Zandile as a devoted mother who was preparing to start a new life after deciding to end her marriage.

They added that they are awaiting guidance from authorities before confirming funeral and memorial arrangements.
