One of the sons of Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel), David Oyedepo Jnr., a Nigerian pastor, has disclosed his wife Kemi Oyedepo’s sacrifice to the ministry.
He shared during his sermon that his wife, Kemi, was almost a citizen of the United States at the time of their marriage and had spent most of her childhood there.
After they got married, he decided they could not remain in the United States because they needed to relocate to their primary place of assignment, which is God’s ministry in Nigeria.
David Oyedepo Jnr. explained that because they chose to stay in Nigeria, his wife had to halt her plan on securing her passport in the U.S.

She went to the American Embassy to return her green card making it her first time entering the embassy. He said, “That’s the card that many people will kill themselves to obtain.”
David Oyedepo Jnr. emphasized that many people would refuse to return a green card, but his wife made that commitment and sacrifice. He added that such a decision could have led to broken marriages, failed relationships, and scattered futures and destinies for others who might not make the same choice.
David Oyedepo Jr. also advised, “Whatever appears evil, run away from it.” He explained that if something appears evil, then evil is already close. He reinforced this by quoting the Bible: “Run from all appearances of evil.”
