Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, continues to receive prayers amid concerns over his health after his daughters, Kira and Lima revealed his health status.

NBG Africa earlier reported Ogogo’s daughters, Kira and Lima, had cried out for help, not financial. for their father who was diagnosed with stage four cancer. They noted that his stomach has swollen and he was in severe pains.

His daughter, Kira Ogogo, provided an emotional update during a TikTok livestream on Saturday, August 22. She revealed that the family initially treated her father for an ulcer. They later discovered he was battling cancer.

She described Ogogo as her “ultimate source of motivation” and praised his peaceful and honourable nature.

‘We Thought It Was an Ulcer’ – Kira on Ogogo

Kira said the family initially believed Ogogo was suffering from an ulcer. However, further medical developments revealed a more serious health challenge.

“We initially treated my daddy for an ulcer, not knowing that he was actually battling cancer.”

She described her father as a source of strength who always encourages her during difficult moments. Kira also shared a touching detail about Ogogo’s family history. She said her grandmother had five sets of twins, but Ogogo became the only survivor from the final set.

Meanwhile, Kira expressed concern over reports about her father’s condition.

Kira Condemns Hospital Update by Alfa Alhmaid

Kira criticised an Islamic cleric, Alfa Alhmaid, who reportedly visited Ogogo in hospital. The cleric later discussed the actor’s condition during a social media livestream. He claimed Ogogo had become extremely weak and could no longer eat or take herbal medicine.

However, Kira described the livestream as insensitive and damaging to the family.

“What exactly are you trying to say? Are you trying to make the family lose hope?”

She said the family had deliberately prevented photographs during hospital visits.

According to Kira, Ogogo’s older brother learnt about his condition through the cleric’s video. She said the revelation left him devastated and fearful.

“My big daddy was completely devastated, asking in tears, ‘Se Taye ti n lo ni?”, meaning is Taye going to die now?

Kira shares Yinka Quadri’s state since Ogogo’s health crisis

Kira also spoke about Ogogo’s close friendship with veteran actor Yinka Quadri. She said her uncle frequently receives calls from Quadri during their conversations.

“Yinka Quadri lo pe mi, ma pe e pada,” she recalled.

Kira said their close relationship demonstrates the bond between the two veteran actors.

“We see all your intercessions, and we are deeply grateful.”

She added that she would give away her only car if her father recovered. The emotional appeal has further drawn attention to the actor’s health battle.

However, the family continues to ask the public for prayers and support.
