Kenyan-born model Immaculate Wachera was named the first runner-up at the debut Miss BRICS beauty contest, held in Kazan, Russia, in March 2026.
This isn’t Wachera’s first foray into pageantry. She is also a long-time content creator, who has represented Kenya in several international beauty contests, including Miss Europe Continental.
Wachera is based in Austria and uses her platform to promote self-confidence, personal growth, and empowerment for young women in Kenya.

The competition featured over 50 participants representing 47 different countries. While Wachera is originally from Kenya, she represented Bolivia in the pageant, impressed the panel with her stage presence, and ultimately secured the silver spot.
The Miss BRICS pageant connects to the BRICS nations. These nations include Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
Unlike many traditional pageants, the organizers emphasize cultural heritage and intelligence alongside physical appearance.

Throughout the event, contestants showcased traditional attire and participated in talent and intellectual rounds designed to promote cultural exchange between the member nations and their global partners.
Wachera’s success marks a major milestone for African representation in the international pageant circuit, proving once again that talent from the continent is gaining serious traction in high-profile global competitions.
