Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Daniel Olatunji, popularly known as Danboskid, has spoken openly about the tough realities he has faced since departing the reality show.
In an emotional video posted on Instagram on Wednesday, September 2, the Ekiti State-born actor, model, and entrepreneur said he is back to square zero and is working to rebuild his life from scratch.
Where He Is
Danboskid revealed he has returned to his family home and is currently staying in his sister’s room. He described his situation as difficult both financially and mentally. He opened up about how bad things have become for him. 
“I am about to hit rock bottom. I don’t have everything going well in my life, Things are not going so well with my family too,” he said.
He was careful to clarify one thing, though: his family isn’t going hungry.
“As I said, we’re not suffering. My dad is a tenant. So yeah, we’re just suffering mentally.”
Why Danboskid Was Evicted Early From BBNaija
Danboskid was the first housemate evicted from the 2025 edition of BBNaija.
He left the house after just 12 days following the initial live eviction. He received the lowest viewer votes.
Danboskid believes part of the reason was a last-minute name change inside the house that made it difficult for fans and his support team to identify and vote for him in time.
What He Wants
What stood out most in the video was his refusal to ask for sympathy or money. He said he desires honest advice, genuine connections, and practical support to get back on his feet.
“I don’t want pity. I want people to tell me how things are. If I keep asking for pity or money, by tomorrow I will come back to ask for more. I don’t want that,” he said.
He also spoke about taking personal responsibility for his current position.
“I know I have to change what’s going on, I know I have to be intentional, and I know I have to start altering my own reality. Because I have to make things work regardless.”
He admitted he considered selling his laptop for quick cash but decided against it, knowing he needs it to rebuild his career.

His Plans To Rebuild
Despite where he is now, Danboskid outlined four specific areas he is focusing on. He is working on a film script and aims to become both a movie producer and a top actor.
“I have a script going on. I’m going to produce my movie. I’m going to become a movie producer and a world-class top actor.”
He also wants to launch an accessories brand, saying he has a good eye for selecting quality items.
Danboski is also exploring cab hailing business, using cars from people who no longer need them, with the wider goal of securing his own place, supporting his family, and building something he can be proud of.

Changing The Story
Danboskid, aside from financial recovery, wants to change the way people perceive him. He feels the image he projected online does not fully reflect who he truly is.
“I built a profile; people have seen me in a particular way. Whatever they think I am, I am not. I want to show people who I really am,” he said.
Since the video was posted, it has attracted significant attention online, with many viewers responding not with the pity he requested they avoid, but with practical encouragement and advice that he says he genuinely needs.
