Two housemates on Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ‘Show Ya Sef’ have left the reality show. Martins became the first housemate to leave the 2026 season, followed by Mercedes.
Martins and Mercedes left the show during Sunday, August 9, night’s live episode after viewers voted to decide the fate of the housemates who faced eviction.
During his brief stay, Martins formed close bonds early in the game, actively participating in key conversations and social events that shaped the season’s initial dynamics. Notably, he celebrated his birthday in the house shortly after the launch, with his fellow housemates orchestrating a special celebration in his honor.

Mercedes quickly made a name for herself with her vibrant, entertaining personality and uninhibited confidence. Her high-energy dance performance at Martins’ birthday party became one of the season’s most viral early moments, drawing loud cheers from her housemates and a massive reaction from viewers online.
The Season 11 edition launched on July 26 with 24 housemates competing for a record-breaking grand prize of ₦160 million. Following the double eviction, 22 contestants remain in the house to battle for the ultimate championship as the competition intensifies.
Martins and Mercedes’ exits have reduced the number of housemates competing for the ultimate prize as the race for the Season 11 championship intensifies.
