Isbae U, the skit maker behind Curiosity Made Me Ask, has revealed the reason behind his interview series.
In a recent appearance on the Morayo Show, Isbae U said he created the series as part of his journey of personal discovery within the entertainment industry.
Isbae U Says Zach Galifianakis’ Show Inspired His Series
The creator of Curiosity Made Me Ask credits Between Two Ferns, a talk show hosted by Zach Galifianakis, as a major influence on the series. 
He wanted to distinguish himself from other skit creators and build a unique identity within the entertainment industry. The show also aims to reveal unknown aspects of celebrities to their audiences.
Isbae U also addressed the impression that he had quit skit-making, noting that he still writes and contributes to storylines for other creators behind the scenes.
“It came from me finding myself. There was a day I said to someone that I was done being mediocre, being average. I wanted to do something different. I did not want to just be considered part of them, part of the skit makers, one of them,” he said.

Why Isbae U Created ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’
“I saw a show that I used to watch a long time ago. It is called ‘Between Two Ferns’ by Zach Galifianakis. So when I saw the show, I loved it. I thought, ‘Oh, this is something I can do.’ This is something I am good at. Even though the guy didn’t even do it as much as I am doing it now.
“The idea of Curiosity Made Me Ask is to show you another part of this celebrity you have not seen.
“A lot of people thought or think I have stopped creating and just doing Curiosity Made Me Ask. But low-key, there are people I write stories for, people I help with their stories.”
Isbae U Says He Still Works Behind the Scenes
Isbae U’s comments show that his move from skit-making to Curiosity Made Me Ask does not mean he has completely left the creative work that helped establish him.
While the interview series has become a major part of his work, he said he continues to write stories and support other creators behind the scenes.
His explanation also gives more context to his decision to create a format that allows him to build his own identity while showing audiences a different side of celebrities.
