The mother of Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye’s son, Jelicia Westhoff, has shared a confusing statement on Threads that many people have linked to the recent hype surrounding Maduka and American rapper Cardi B.
Jelicia Westhoff Shares Cryptic Message
Maduka and Cardi B sparked dating rumours once again after people spotted them together in Milan during the Fashion Week. Maduka reportedly withdrew from the Nigerian national team squad around the same time because of “family and personal issues”, which further raised questions about the timing.
Without mentioning any specific names, Jelicia wrote on Threads: 
“Dating a man that doesn’t take care of his kids, that’s a character problem, babe.”
The brief message quickly caught fans’ attention, with many connecting it to the current attention surrounding Cardi B and Maduka.

Jelicia Raises Concerns About Maduka’s Fatherhood
Jelicia has previously spoken about Maduka’s role as a father. Before she deleted the post, she shared a TikTok video of their son with the caption:
“I know one day, you will turn to me and ask what happened.”
Jelicia has raised concerns about Maduka’s paternal presence on several occasions over the years. Her latest post has therefore attracted more attention amid the current focus on the goalkeeper and Cardi B.
Neither Cardi B nor Maduka Okoye has publicly confirmed a romantic relationship. The two have not publicly stated that they are dating, despite the speculation that followed their appearance together in Milan.
