BBNaija’s Kamsy Reveals Her Biggest Weakness, Speaks on Social Etiquette in the House

After leaving the BBNaija house, the former housemate explains the etiquette behind her most misunderstood moments, and why being overly conscious of the cameras became her biggest weakness.

Kamsy was evicted from the BBNaija Show Ya Sef house on Sunday, 16 August 2026. She is the third evicted housemate after receiving the lowest percentage of public votes among the housemates whose results were announced.

Speaking with NBG Africa, the former housemate addressed some of the misconceptions that followed her stay, particularly the claims that she was “too slow.”

“I Wasn’t Being Slow, It’s Social Etiquette”

While in the house, several people on Twitter accused Kamsy of moving too slowly. She pushed back against that narrative, explaining that what many saw as sluggishness was simply her observing basic manners.

“I feel like the places where people said I was slow, it was just a misunderstanding. For example, the diary room session where I did not sit down… that was just because of training. I was trained that when you walk into a place, you don’t sit until the people there tell you to sit. Especially if it’s a higher person. Big Brother is higher than me. So I was waiting for ‘You can take a seat.’ That doesn’t make me slow.”

In a period where there have been conversations about whether Gen Z fully understands important codes of conduct, her explanation feels timely. In this context, Kamsy’s decision to wait for permission before sitting in the diary room reads more like intentional respect for hierarchy and space than hesitation.

Being Extra-Conscious Was Her Weakness

Kamsy also admitted that she held back parts of herself while in the house. She was constantly aware that cameras were rolling and that the internet never forgets. Hence, she could not fully show herself like Mercedes says she did.

She explained that even though the show only lasts a few weeks, the rest of her life would be lived under public scrutiny. That awareness made her more careful about how she reacted to people and situations.

Kamsy says she wanted to be sure that if anything she did later became a topic of discussion, she could stand by it without regret.

She says, “I’m very much aware that the internet never forgets… My mental health needs to be safe. So it’s like, you know, as much as I’m trying to play a game, I’m also trying to build a personal brand. I’m also trying to build something that lasts.”

In her words, that level of self-consciousness was a weakness in the game. But she believes it will eventually become a strength outside the house.

What Her Community Should Expect

Kamsy promised her supporters that they will see more of her in different lights, especially the business side of Kamsy.

She says she is grateful for her supporters and intends to give back by touching as many lives as she can, the same way they touched hers.
