Jarvis (also known as Jadrolita, real name Amadou Elizabeth) is a popular Nigerian content creator who acts as an AI and is famously known for being the on-and-off girlfriend of streamer Peller.

She recently celebrated her birthday in the most futuristic fashion—pink leather pants with a corset top, gloves, thigh high boots and a neck cape. It looked like something from a movie set in the future, and of course, it generated endless internet buzz.

However, there was controversy involving the designer and stylist, Josiphiah Michael. Though he was responsible for the idea behind the dress (i.e., the design), he didn’t actually sew the outfit.

The tailor who made the outfit, Kitt Ton Couture, posted the behind-the-scenes process of making the garment, and the designer became quite upset, threatening her with legal action. She, on the other hand, stated she was simply advertising her handiwork to get more clients.

This effectively leads us to the next question: who is responsible for the dress when the idea and execution are separate? The honest answer is that unless an NDA was signed or she was his employee, she should have the right to say she sewed the outfit.

Who Deserves Credit?

This isn’t the first time this has happened. Ghanaian celebrity Nana Akua Addo was also caught in a similar situation when a Nigerian tailor, Ezinne Olivia Styling, helped her couple her outfit together but wasn’t credited (The pieces were not made by her).

The way I see it, everyone deserves credit, as the outfit wouldn’t exist without their individual contributions. What do you think?
