Hollywood actor Tobey Maguire has taken an unusual role in his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer’s new love story. The Spider-Man star officiated Meyer’s wedding to billionaire heir Geoffrey Ogunlesi, just weeks after finalising their divorce.
Meyer, 49, married Ogunlesi, 34, on Saturday, October 10, at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii. The ceremony brought together Hollywood celebrities, close friends and members of the couple’s blended family.
Maguire, 51, stood alongside the newlyweds as they exchanged vows. Photographs from the ceremony showed him smiling while reading from a piece of paper. Meanwhile, Meyer and Ogunlesi sealed their union with a kiss surrounded by flowers. 
The wedding came less than a month after Meyer and Maguire finalised their divorce on September 21. The former couple had separated in 2016, nine years before their marriage officially ended.
Hollywood Stars Attend Intimate Wedding
The ceremony attracted several high-profile guests, including actor Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos also attended with his wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos. Actress Courteney Cox and celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe were among the other notable guests. Meyer’s three children also attended the wedding, marking an important moment for their blended family.
Meyer and Maguire married in 2007 and share two children: Ruby Sweetheart, 19, and Otis Tobias, 17. Their youngest sibling is Meyer’s daughter with Ogunlesi, whom she welcomed earlier this year. Meyer announced the baby’s arrival in June while celebrating Ogunlesi on Father’s Day.
“A perfect month with our perfect baby girl. We love you the most @geoffo212,” she wrote on Instagram.

Meyer and Ogunlesi’s Romance
Meyer and Ogunlesi were first linked in the summer of 2023. They made their red-carpet debut as a couple at the Baby2Baby Gala in November that year. In August 2024, Meyer announced their engagement on Instagram. The post showed the couple embracing at a restaurant, with candles and pale pink flowers decorating their table. Meyer wore a black Miu Miu minidress and displayed a large diamond ring.
Several celebrities congratulated her, including Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson, Vanessa Bryant, Kelly Rowland and Paris Hilton. Birdies co-founder Bianca Gates also celebrated the engagement, praising the ring. Meyer replied, “It was alllll him! Total surprise 🥰.”
Ogunlesi is the founder and chief executive of The Ogunlesi Group, an entertainment and music management company rather than following his father into finance. Its roster includes Young Thug, charlieonnafriday and Myles Frost.
He worked as an A&R consultant at Warner Music Group (around 2013–2014) and then spent nearly nine years in A&R at 300 Entertainment (from about 2014 to 2022), where he helped develop and sign artists.
The younger Ogunlesi has long-standing credits and close involvement with Young Thug (including work on projects such as Barter 6 and later albums), as well as Gunna, YNW Melly, María Becerra, and others. In 2022 he launched The Ogunlesi Group, an entertainment and talent management company based in Los Angeles. Its roster has included Young Thug, Alabama Barker, and other musicians and creators. He has been described as preferring to keep the focus on the artists (“It’s not about me, it’s about the artists”).
Tobey Maguire and Meyer Keep Things Cordial
Meyer and Maguire separated in 2016, although they did not finalise their divorce until September 2026. Meyer filed for divorce in October 2020, four years after their split. And despite ending their marriage, the former couple appear to have maintained a cordial relationship.
Maguire’s decision to officiate Meyer’s wedding offers a striking example of their continued connection. Rather than simply attending the celebration, the actor helped lead the ceremony as his former wife began a new chapter. Their arrangement also places their children at the centre of a blended family milestone. The wedding brought Meyer’s past and present together in an unconventional, but seemingly amicable, celebration.
