People of God, is there a ranking in the spirit?

Pastor Kingsley is trending again after receiving backlash for getting a tattoo as a man of God. This time? It’s also for the same tattoo. Since publicly displaying his Bible verse tattoo, Pastor Kingsley has taken his time to also publicly go after fellow men of God who took it upon themselves to have a say on his personal choice.

The Ranking In The Spirit

According to Pastor Kingsley, the men of God who had a thing or two to say about his tattoo have no right to because there’s a thing known as a ‘ranking in the spirit’. This means that spiritually, he is higher than them and, as such, understands better how the heavens work. Let’s look into the existence of different spiritual authorities.

In 1 Corinthians 15:41 (KJV), the Bible says, “There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.”

This verse of the Bible is often interpreted as an analogy for the different levels of spiritual authority or rewards in heaven. The person at the top of the realm of the spiritual world is God, and there are many verses in the Bible where we read that God is the only God (Isaiah 44:6; Deut 4:35; 1 Kings 8:60) and that He has authority over all other beings (2 Chron 20:6; 1 Cor 15:27; Eph 1:20-21).

The Bible has seemingly made it clear that spiritually, the highest in rank is God, followed by the angels and demons, and then humans.

Hebrews 2:7-9 teaches that humans are made lower than the angels. Just like every pastor who criticised his tattoo, Pastor Kingsley is human and not an angel or demon, and definitely not God. How then does he spiritually rank higher than other men of God?

“…Even Peter Said In The Bible That He Can’t Understand Paul.

He mentioned that his critics can’t understand  him. According to him, he doesn’t expect those who have a say in the decision to get a tattoo to understand, as even Peter said in the Bible that he doesn’t understand Paul.

The part of the Bible he refers to is 2 Peter 3, verses 14-16. Peter said, [14] “So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.’ [15] Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom that God gave him. [16] He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

If we can comprehend Peter’s statement simply, he was only talking about the language in which Paul wrote his letters and not the content of the letters themselves.

Another baffling part of his statement to Nigerians is him calling of fellow men of God ‘rats’.

Final Thoughts

“My 50k reward is still out. If anyone can show me 5 videos of Mr Kingsley preaching the gospel, I will pay them 50k,” an X user reacted to the viral clip.

This user’s view corresponds with the opinion of other Nigerians who are noting and advising that Pastor Kingsley focuses on giving marriage tips to couples rather than preaching the gospel.

The decision to get a tattoo is really no one’s business, let the man answer to his God.
