Fisayo Longe, a British-Nigerian fashion entrepreneur and creative director of Kai Collective, went viral with pictures of her and her spouse from their traditional wedding. The engagement got people talking, from the couple’s clothing to the décor and the guests in attendance.
The styling was intentional, and the wedding was colourful, with no minimalism in sight. If there’s one thing Nigerian weddings are known for, it is being bold, and this wedding was no exception. Denola Grey was on his A-game in styling the couple, choosing the colours, textures, and fabrics from Nigeria’s best bridal designers.

The couple wore Nigerian designers such as Mazelle Bridal and Couture by Tabik. For her pre-wedding shoots, Longe wore Kai Collective. Fisayo’s orange couture by Tabik outfit with the Kai Collective design arranged like lightning had us enthralled. The second look, a brown corset top and skirt with a train and lace appliqués, was elegant yet elaborate, while the groom mixed brown with purple for his agbada.
She also brought sexy back during the festivities in a gold corset top from Misho and a hand-painted skirt by Kai Collective, while her husband wore a stoned agbada.
What of the guests? They delivered and devoured. The guests wore coordinated damask asoebi styles; it was less about matching and more about showing off their individual flair.

All these elements made the wedding a major topic of conversation across social media and it was well-deserved.
