Friday, October 16, new-music slate is led by two major Nigerian albums: Fireboy DML’s ZUKO! and Blaqbonez’s NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME. Together, the projects bring new collaborations with Lojay, Judah Earl, Victony and TML Vibez, while Victony, Cruel Santino and Hammerboi add strong standalone releases.
To keep the list genuinely current, the album selections below focus on fresh cuts from Friday’s projects rather than songs already issued as singles during their rollouts.
1. GODDESS – Fireboy DML featuring Lojay
Fireboy DML and Lojay meet on GODDESS, an Afro-R&B collaboration from ZUKO!. The track adds Lojay to Fireboy’s 13-track album and places two melodic vocalists on the same record.
2. YAHOOZE – Blaqbonez featuring Victony
Blaqbonez brings Victony into NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME on YAHOOZE. The title echoes a familiar phrase in Nigerian pop culture, while the collaboration connects Blaqbonez’s rap-led approach with Victony’s singing.
3. SLICK (Remix) – Victony featuring Don Toliver and Summer Walker
Victony expands SLICK with Don Toliver and Summer Walker. The new version turns the song into a three-artist collaboration, adding an international rap voice and an R&B feature to Victony’s original record.
4. Big Drop – Cruel Santino, Zaylevelten and OctobersRich
Big Drop brings Cruel Santino, Zaylevelten and OctobersRich together for a gritty alternative track. The NATIVE points to its synth-led production, syncopated drums and late beat switch, and connects the song to Santino’s forthcoming K.O.T.B – The Bomberman Chronicles.
5. DEAR FATHER – Fireboy DML featuring Judah Earl
DEAR FATHER opens ZUKO! with Fireboy DML and Judah Earl. The song introduces a project that later moves through solo records and collaborations with Lojay, Masicka, JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela.
6. FINESSE YOU – Blaqbonez featuring TML Vibez
Blaqbonez closes NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME with TML Vibez on FINESSE YOU. The collaboration arrives at the end of a 15-track album built around the meeting point between Nigerian hip-hop and Afrobeats.

7. FIGHTING – Fireboy DML
FIGHTING is the final song on ZUKO! and the album’s closing solo performance. Its position leaves Fireboy with the last word after a project that brings several guest artists into the frame.
8. JONZIN – Blaqbonez
Blaqbonez returns to a solo format on JONZIN, the penultimate track on NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME. It keeps the focus on the rapper’s own voice just before the album closes with FINESSE YOU.
9. Runmo – Sheglass and DJ YK Mule
Sheglass and DJ YK Mule meet on Runmo, a new collaboration released on Friday. The track widens this week’s selection beyond the headline albums and introduces a release from two artists working outside the biggest names on the list.
10. Love Letter (Edamwen) – Hammerboi
Hammerboi sings almost entirely in Bini on Love Letter (Edamwen). tooXclusive describes it as a soft, soulful serenade with a call-and-response hook, reflecting the Benin City artist’s decision to carry Edo language into a contemporary love song.
This week’s list moves from two full-length album releases to a global remix, an alternative three-way collaboration and new records from emerging voices. Start with the project that matches your mood, then let the standalone singles fill out the weekend playlist.
