Pastor Jerry Eze, the founder of Streams of Joy International, surprised gospel minister and singer Nathaniel Bassey with a brand-new Range Rover on his 45th birthday.
On August 27, 2026, at his residence in Lagos, Bassey was left speechless as he discovered that his close friend and brother in ministry had been quietly coordinating what he later called a “holy coup” with his wife.
In an Instagram post sharing the moment, Bassey wrote that he woke up simply desiring “a nice easy day of gratitude to God.” 
When he found out about the Range Rover, the worship leader admitted he still struggled to find the right words. “Of a truth the surpriser had been surprised,” he wrote. “Still don’t know how to really express this in words.”

According to Bassey, when his wife initially suggested a particular vehicle, Eze pushed back saying “My brother can’t drive that.” He insisted on giving the very best option available.
In the Instagram post, Bassey described Eze as someone who “gives like his life depends on it,” noting that this was not an isolated gesture.
Videos and photos circulating online capture how overwhelmed and surprised Bassey was.
Pastor Nathaniel Bassey who is known for hits and initiatives like the Hallelujah Challenge, publicly thanked his friend, emphasizing that the gift did not define their relationship. “Even if you never do this, l’d still love you the same,” he wrote. He further asked his fans and followers to flood Eze’s page with appreciation on his behalf.
