Nigerian preacher Bishop Funke Adejumo has strongly defended pastors against critics who accuse them of living off church offerings.
During her sermon on Day 1 of the Run Conference hosted by Streams of Joy International in Umuahia, she described such claims as ignorant and disrespectful to spiritual leaders.
To the critics, she implied, run am if e easy when she said, “Go and start your own church.”

She further explained that pastors, particularly Pastor Jerry Eze, often make personal sacrifices and financial contributions toward humanitarian and church-building efforts.

The preacher also warned Christians against joining public criticism of spiritual leaders, describing it as harmful to the body of Christ.
“If you belong to the body of Christ, don’t join them with your tongue and your fingers… Do you find Muslims attacking their imams? Don’t join them.”
She called such behavior “gross Pentecostal irresponsibility” and warned that disrespect toward spiritual authority carries spiritual consequences.
During her passionate defense of pastors, Funke Adejumo also made a blunt remark directed at those who reject the Christian message but continue to criticise church leaders.

“What have we done to you? I told you to be born again. You refuse. Then go to hell if you want to go to hell.”
Funke Adejumo is a prominent Nigerian pastor, author, marriage counsellor, and global conference speaker. She is the co-founder of Agape Christian Ministries alongside her husband, Bishop Felix Adejumo.
