A group of 300-level Computer Engineering students from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria has built something genuinely worth paying attention to. An electronic walking stick has been designed to help visually impaired people move around more safely and independently.

The device caught people’s attention after a demonstration video was shared on X on September 2, 2026. In the footage, one of the student developers walks a small audience through how the stick works. He tested it outdoors in real conditions. He display exactly how the walking stick responds to different hazards in a user’s path.

How It Works

What makes this stick more than just a regular walking aid is the sensor system built into it. It does not just detect obstacles but actually tells the user what kind of obstacle they are dealing with.

ABU students are building solutions, not just writing exams.

300L Computer Engineering students, Group 8, have developed an electronic walking aid for the visually impaired. 👏🏽

Innovation. Impact. Naturally Ahead. 🦾🔥@nuesa_abuzaria @corenreg @nsehqtr pic.twitter.com/a4i7i651v8
— ABUInsight (@abuinsight) September 2, 2026

If something solid is blocking the path ahead, the stick responds with a short vibration and an audible alert. This gives the user time to adjust their direction before making contact.

If there is a hole or a sudden drop in the ground, which is the kind of hazard that carries a real risk of injury, the stick triggers a longer, louder sound to signal that the danger is more serious.

When the tip touches water, three quick beeps go off immediately so the user knows exactly what they have encountered.

There is also an emergency feature built in which is a push button connected to a built-in SIM card. It allows the user to send an SMS to a pre-registered caregiver or emergency contact with a single press.

This means no navigating a phone screen under pressure, no need to unlock anything, just one button, and help is on the way.

What Comes Next

The team isn’t just stopping here, they have already mapped out upgrades for future versions, with real-time GPS tracking at the top of the list. This would allow caregivers to monitor a user’s location through a mobile app.

They also plan to add a battery monitoring feature that sends a low-power alert before the device shuts down. This is to ensure the battery never fails a user mid-journey without warning.

The Reaction

The video drew widespread praise across Nigerian social media, with commenters calling the invention impressive and practical.

A lot of people made the same point; that this is exactly the kind of work university students should be doing: identifying a real problem that affects real people and building something that actually helps.

The students explained that their device’s primary aim is straightforward: to make movement safer and to empower visually impaired individuals to navigate their environment more confidently on their own terms.

Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Daniel Olatunji, popularly known as Danboskid, has spoken openly about the tough realities he has faced since departing the reality show.

In an emotional video posted on Instagram on Wednesday, September 2, the Ekiti State-born actor, model, and entrepreneur said he is back to square zero and is working to rebuild his life from scratch.

Where He Is

Danboskid revealed he has returned to his family home and is currently staying in his sister’s room. He described his situation as difficult both financially and mentally. He opened up about how bad things have become for him.

“I am about to hit rock bottom. I don’t have everything going well in my life, Things are not going so well with my family too,” he said.

He was careful to clarify one thing, though: his family isn’t going hungry.

“As I said, we’re not suffering. My dad is a tenant. So yeah, we’re just suffering mentally.”

What is happening to BBNaija Danboskid🥺
He said he is going back from scratch to start all over again . I pray for strength and right mindset . This are the people BBNaija fans suppose arise for pic.twitter.com/tPhaLxGVve
— TheCutestKimmy👅 (@symply_kimm) September 2, 2026

Why Danboskid Was Evicted Early From BBNaija

Danboskid was the first housemate evicted from the 2025 edition of BBNaija.

He left the house after just 12 days following the initial live eviction. He received the lowest viewer votes.

Danboskid believes part of the reason was a last-minute name change inside the house that made it difficult for fans and his support team to identify and vote for him in time.

What He Wants

“I’m About To Hit Rock Bottom”: BBNaija’s Danboskid Opens Up On Life After The House.
What stood out most in the video was his refusal to ask for sympathy or money. He said he desires honest advice, genuine connections, and practical support to get back on his feet.

“I don’t want pity. I want people to tell me how things are. If I keep asking for pity or money, by tomorrow I will come back to ask for more. I don’t want that,” he said.

He also spoke about taking personal responsibility for his current position.

“I know I have to change what’s going on, I know I have to be intentional, and I know I have to start altering my own reality. Because I have to make things work regardless.”

He admitted he considered selling his laptop for quick cash but decided against it, knowing he needs it to rebuild his career.

His Plans To Rebuild

Despite where he is now, Danboskid outlined four specific areas he is focusing on. He is working on a film script and aims to become both a movie producer and a top actor.

“I have a script going on. I’m going to produce my movie. I’m going to become a movie producer and a world-class top actor.”

He also wants to launch an accessories brand, saying he has a good eye for selecting quality items.

Danboski is also exploring cab hailing business, using cars from people who no longer need them, with the wider goal of securing his own place, supporting his family, and building something he can be proud of.

Changing The Story

Danboskid, aside from financial recovery, wants to change the way people perceive him. He feels the image he projected online does not fully reflect who he truly is.

“I built a profile; people have seen me in a particular way. Whatever they think I am, I am not. I want to show people who I really am,” he said.

Since the video was posted, it has attracted significant attention online, with many viewers responding not with the pity he requested they avoid, but with practical encouragement and advice that he says he genuinely needs.

Afrobeats star Davido has fired back at rapper Erigga after a tweet from the Warri-born artist sparked a heated online discussion. The tweet was about privilege, hustle, and what it really means to grind in the Nigerian music industry.

The exchange played out publicly on X and quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the day, with fans taking sides and expressing their views loudly.

How Erigga Started the Altercation

Erigga posted a message on X praising artists who succeeded without financial support from their families.

“Shoutout to all the musicians who don’t come from family money and had to grind for every single dollar they earn,” he wrote.

While he didn’t specify names, many X users interpreted the message as a direct reference to artists from wealthy backgrounds. Davido is often associated with that category, given that his father is billionaire businessman, Dr Adedeji Adeleke.

Davido’s Response

The “Feel” crooner didn’t let it pass. Hours after Erigga’s post, Davido quote-tweeted it and made his stance clear.

He continued in the same thread, adding:

“Deep down, who likes poverty?” and “No worry o I go soon leave their music for una, GO MAKE MY BILLIONS… then that shit gonna be boring AF.”

He argued that nobody chooses the family they are born into. Building a global music career from a position of privilege is still a career that had to be built. Dismissing that achievement because of one’s starting point, in his view, is exactly the kind of “useless motivation” that doesn’t warrant applause.

The Bigger Debate

The exchange quickly ignited discussion on the timeline.

Erigga’s supporters argued that starting from zero; from real hunger and financial desperation, warrants a different kind of recognition because the cost of failure is entirely different. With no safety net, the grind means something else.

Davido’s supporters countered that family money doesn’t necessarily mean an easy path. The claimed that OBO has consistently delivered hits for over a decade. He has built a brand beyond music, and has faced public highs and personal lows with the country watching.

The work, they said, speaks for itself regardless of background.

SEE ALSO: Davido Addresses ‘Too Free’ Misconception and Reveals Plans to Venture Into Acting

What This Is Really About

This isn’t the first time the ‘nepo baby versus grass-to-grace’ debate has surfaced in Nigerian entertainment, and it won’t be the last.

It reflects a real and ongoing tension in a music industry where both stories; the artist who made it from nothing and the artist who leveraged opportunity into success, should coexist without one being used to diminish the other.

What Davido’s response implied, whether intentionally or not, was a refusal to apologise for his background while also refusing to deny that effort is real. He didn’t deny privilege but challenged the idea that privilege cancels effort.

For an artist who has maintained a top-tier Afrobeats career for over a decade, the core message was: judge the music and the work, not the family name attached.

Erigga has not responded publicly since the exchange, but the conversation continues.

A Chinese travel content creator Xiao Johnny visit to Lagos has gone viral across Nigerian social media for all the wrong reasons.

Johnny, also known online as Xiao Jony, documented a series of confrontations with street touts that left him frustrated enough to issue a clear warning to international tourists: stay away.

His videos, which rapidly spread across social media, have sparked a nationwide debate about harassment, extortion, and what Nigeria, at times, offers to the tourists it claims to attract.

What Happened to Xiao Johnny

🇨🇳🇳🇬 A Chinese travel creator was trying local food at a market in Nigeria when a group of men stopped him and demanded money.

When he asked why, their explanation was basically: "we’re Nigerian, you’re not, so we can take money from you."

Over roughly 10 kilometers, he says he…
— Mario Nawfal (@MarioNawfal) September 2, 2026

The incident began when Johnny was exploring a local market, sampling street food, and filming his experience. A group of men surrounded him and aggressively demanded money. When he asked why, their blunt explanation was that they were Nigerian, he was not; therefore, they could take money from him.

He said it felt as though they were asking him to pay for the ground he was standing on.

He refused. In the video, he pushed back directly.

“Work to get money, not like this. I’m a tourist. I paid for the visa.” He told them to call the police if they believed he had broken any law.

Xiao Johnny Encounters 20 Checkpoints in 10 Kilometres

In his travel review, Johnny claimed that during a roughly 10-kilometre journey in Lagos, he encountered more than 20 unofficial checkpoints. At each point, different groups of touts demanded money, sometimes framing it as a tax on immigrants, asserting it as their right as Nigerian citizens to collect from passing foreigners.

By the end of the day, his frustration had turned into genuine disillusionment.

His Final Verdict

Johnny concluded his vlog with a warning: “Don’t come to Nigeria,” he said. He advised any international visitor who does choose to visit to exercise extreme caution and to limit their movements to daylight hours.

What Nigerians Said

The footage triggered widespread outrage. Most comments condemned the behaviour depicted in the videos without question. Some expressed embarrassment over how street urchins culture and the so-called ‘agbero system’ damage Nigeria’s image and reputation with foreign visitors.

The conversation quickly shifted from Johnny’s personal experience to a broader frustration. Nigeria has invested significant effort in recent years. It promotes itself as a destination for diaspora tourism, cultural exchange, and international visitors. The gap between that ambition and what a first-time foreign visitor actually encounters in Lagos is a divide. Nigerians in the comment sections were not willing to defend such behaviour.

Some pushed back on the idea that one visitor’s experience should not define the country. Most agreed on a narrower, more crucial point: the behaviour shown in the videos is unacceptable, it is not unique to this incident, and has not been seriously addressed.

What It Highlights

Xiao Johnny didn’t come to Lagos to make a political statement about Nigeria’s tourism industry. He came to taste local foods and film his experience for his audience. Instead, he documented a version of Lagos that Nigerians themselves recognise and that the government has yet to find a way to confront meaningfully.

Unofficial levies, street harassment, and the entitlement of organised touts at informal checkpoints are neither new nor secret.

What Xiao Johnny’s videos did was give that ordinary reality a face, a camera, and an audience large enough to force the conversation back into the open.

For Evangelist Christian Chuka, that headline explains where his story begins. Today, he travels across Africa visiting prisons and sitting in school auditoriums warning young people about the seduction of fast money. But two decades ago, he was a fugitive drug baron operating under fake identities across Europe, serving eight years in a Swedish prison, and losing seven of his closest friends to the same world he had chosen.

This is the story of how rock bottom became the foundation for something else entirely.

A Childhood That Left No Room for Innocence

Chuka grew up in Aba, in a home shaped by hardship. His mother worked hard, and his father was generous and easy-going. But the family had nothing, and he knew it from early.

At 12 years old, his parents sent him to Cameroon under the cover of a traditional apprenticeship arrangement. Chuka doesn’t soften his description of what it actually was; He calls it slavery. The conditions were brutal and unlivable, so he ran away and went back to Aba.

Back home, still a teenager without formal education, he found work with auto-part importers. Despite being illiterate, he was trusted to handle significant sums of money. The experience handed him a dangerous early lesson; that money could arrive fast, long before any future was in place to hold it.

The Trap

The desire to become a “big boy,” to relieve his parents’ suffering, and to silence the hunger that poverty leaves in a person; all of it pushed him toward the world that seemed to offer an exit, and peer pressure accelerated the process.

He entered international drug trafficking, and operated across European borders under false identities, involved in moving people and substances between Spain and South America. He would describe it later as a heavy gamble. The money was real, and so was the exposure. But European airport security was too sophisticated and too consistent to evade indefinitely.

He was arrested for carrying hard drugs including cocaine and sentenced to eight years in a Swedish prison.

Prison: Where the Illusion Broke Down

The Untold Story of Evangelist Christian Chuka. Credit: This Day Live & Facebook/Super Chino.

Two years into the sentence, his father died. The grief left him aggressive and lost. He continued criminal activity from inside; smuggling contraband through a relationship with a prison officer. The pattern was still there, even in captivity.

Then came the information about his friends.

While he was inside, seven of the people he had grown up with on the streets died. The life he had chosen had consumed them, one by one. He was the one left sitting with that knowledge, alone, in a Swedish prison cell.

It was also there, eventually, that something shifted. He describes a spiritual awakening. An encounter with the gospel that, in his telling, removed his appetite for violence and crime in a way nothing outside had managed to do. He calls it a second chance, and he took it.

The Mission That Followed

Chuka returned to Nigeria in 2013 with a different kind of purpose. He interpreted the deaths of his seven friends as God preserving him for something, and he has spent the years since trying to honour that interpretation.

He founded the Abounding Grace Foundation, known online as Prisoner Voice. He has visited more than 258 prisons across Africa, including facilities in Nigeria, South Africa, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia, documenting conditions that he says defy basic human dignity; severe overcrowding, inmates sleeping in configurations he compares to sardines in a tin. He challenges authorities to move beyond cosmetic changes and focus on substantive reform: releasing inmates held without evidence, ending prolonged pre-trial detention, and implementing vocational training that actually prepares people for life after release.

Chuka also takes his testimony directly into secondary schools and universities, screening documentaries that show students the reality of prison life. The message is consistent and without decoration: crime does not pay, not eventually, and not even for a while.

What His Story Is Really About

Christian Chuka’s journey isn’t simply a redemption narrative. It is a window into what desperation and the promise of fast money can do to a young person who grew up with no options and no one to show him what else was possible.

A Globacom subscriber has gone public with a complaint that has struck a nerve across Nigerian social media. His “unlimited” data plan expired during a virtual job interview, cutting the connection and, he alleges, costing him the opportunity.

The story gained traction after a video of the visibly frustrated man confronting staff at a GLO office began circulating online.

In the clip, he described how data he had just purchased for his router vanished less than two minutes after he recharged it. He demanded a refund, saying the incident had cost him both the job and the money spent on his data plan and router.

“Nigeria can turn you to a mad person,” he wrote in the video.

The “Unlimited” Problem

“I have løst my job because of you people. I just recharged my router with data, and it disappeared in less than two minutes.

The incident has reignited a debate that Nigerians have been having for years.: What does unlimited actually mean when it comes from a Nigerian telecom provider?

Globacom, like other major Nigerian networks, markets Unlimited Router Data Bundles to customers. However, these plans operate under a Fair Usage Policy, commonly known as FUP. It means that once a subscriber reaches a specific data volume threshold, typically between 100GB and 150GB depending on the plan tier, the network throttles the connection speed down to a lower rate, such as 2 Mbps, rather than cutting the service off entirely.

In practice, however, subscribers report that the experience on the ground doesn’t always match that description. Heavy background device updates, multiple connected devices draining bandwidth simultaneously. Network fluctuations, and in some cases, hitting absolute data caps on non-router mobile unlimited plans can lead to complete disconnections. That feel sudden and unexplained, particularly to a customer who purchased what was marketed as unlimited service.

For someone sitting in a virtual job interview with their career on the line, the difference between a throttled connection and a complete cut-off is enormous. And the distinction between what the terms technically allow and what the subscriber was sold is exactly what he is challenging.

SEE ALSO: Are Nigerian Telcos Stealing From Customers?

The Public Reaction

The video generated immediate and widespread sympathy online. Nigerians on X (formerly Twitter) and other platforms flooded comment sections with their own versions of the same story. Data that disappeared faster than it should have, customer service that offered no meaningful explanation, and marketing language that set expectations the service could not meet.

The complaints point to a persistent transparency problem. When telecom providers use the word unlimited in their marketing while burying Fair Usage Policy conditions in the fine print. The gap between what customers expect and what they actually receive is predictable. Calls for clearer communication about what unlimited plans actually deliver have followed every similar controversy and produced very little change from the providers involved.

Where It Stands

Globacom has not issued a public statement addressing this specific incident. The subscriber is demanding a refund for the cost of his data plan and his router. Whether he receives one, and whether the job he says he lost because of the disconnection can be recovered in any form, are questions that remain open.

On Monday, a 12-person Las Vegas jury found Duane “Keffe D” Davis, 63, guilty of first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon in connection with the 1996 death of rap icon Tupac Shakur. The foreperson read the verdict clearly: “Count one, murder with use of a deadly weapon, guilty of first-degree murder with use of a deadly weapon.”

Davis now faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. The jury reached its decision after roughly three hours of deliberation.

What Happened on September 7, 1996

Tupac Shakur was 25 years old when he was shot on the night of September 7, 1996. He was shot after attending a Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas and died six days later. He went on to sell more than 75 million records, He remains one of the most influential voices in rap music.

His death became one of the most discussed unresolved murders in American history, a case entangled in the East Coast versus West Coast rivalry, shaped hip-hop in the mid-1990s, along with Blood and Crip gang politics, and nearly three decades of speculation, claims, and dead ends.

What Prosecutors Argued

Prosecutors told the court that Davis orchestrated the shooting as retaliation. Earlier that evening, his nephew Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson had been involved in a physical altercation with Tupac and his entourage in Las Vegas. Prosecutors described Davis as the person who supplied the firearm and issued the order for the drive-by shooting. He was the “shot caller” behind the attack, claiming the killing was carried out to promote a criminal gang.

Anderson, whom prosecutors said fired the fatal shots from the white Cadillac, died in an unrelated shooting in 2008. He had always denied any involvement in Shakur’s murder.

SEE ALSO: 30 Years After, Tupac Shakur’s Alleged Killer Faces Trial

The Evidence: His Own Words

The case against Davis heavily relied on statements he had made over the years.

Prosecutors presented evidence that Davis had repeatedly and publicly admitted to being inside the white Cadillac from which the shots were fired. The two pieces of evidence were central to the trial.

The first was a secret police interview from 2008 in which Davis discussed his role in Shakur’s death. This interview was originally conducted as part of an investigation into the killing of fellow rapper the Notorious B.I.G. The court ruled that Davis had voided a prior protective agreement with authorities by speaking publicly in his memoir. He allowed the 2008 interview to be used against him at trial.

The second was his 2019 memoir, Compton Street Legend, in which he further detailed his involvement in the events surrounding Shakur’s death. His decision to record his account in a published book became a key part of the prosecution’s case.

The Reaction

The verdict elicited strong and visible emotion both inside and outside the courtroom.

Inside, Shakur’s family was visibly moved. His sister was seen embracing a prosecutor after the verdict was announced. Other relatives sat in tears. Outside the courthouse, dedicated Tupac fans who had gathered to follow the proceedings were similarly emotional, some in tears, some cheering.

For a family and community that had waited nearly 30 years for justice, the word “guilty” carried immense significance.

When 20-year-old Malick Yalcouyé scored for Brighton & Hove Albion against Chelsea, the online conversation moved quickly. Not about his technique or his movement, but his appearance. The Ivorian midfielder’s noticeably receding hairline had fans questioning his claimed age, with some suggesting he had altered his date of birth.

This is a claim that has followed African footballers for years, but in this case, it is incorrect.

The Medical Explanation

According to Dobe Aboubacar, Yalcouyé lives with chronic alopecia, a condition causing persistent, long-term hair loss. It can be triggered by various underlying factors. The most recognised form is androgenetic alopecia, commonly known as male-pattern baldness. It can also begin in early adulthood regardless of a person’s true age.

In Yalcouyé’s case, his hairline is a health concern, not a sign of being older than his records indicate. This distinction is important, especially given how easily this type of allegation is linked to African players in European football without evidence.

Credit: Facebook/ASEC Mimosas

His former club, ASEC Mimosas, addressed the age question directly by releasing images from Yalcouyé’s time at their Abidjan academy, Académie MimoSifcom, between 2018 and 2023. In those photos, he appears alongside players from the same age group: Newcastle’s Bazoumana Touré, Reims’ Oumar Diakité, and RB Salzburg’s Karim Konaté.

The structure at ASEC is significant because players are grouped in cohorts with gaps of just one to three years between age groups, which means the company he kept at the academy supports his documented age. He was not an outlier in a younger group but was with his peers.

The Football Tells the Real Story

Beyond the speculation, Yalcouyé’s rise in the game has been swift and well-documented.

Brighton signed him from Swedish side IFK Göteborg last summer for roughly £6 million, a fee that stands out because Göteborg had only acquired him in February 2024 for around €400,000. This rapid progression reflects how quickly his potential has been recognised in European football.

Before joining Brighton, he moved from the under-21 squad through loan spells at Sturm Graz and Swansea before breaking into the first team. The goal against Chelsea was his first Premier League start, announcing him on one of the bigger stages with clarity.

The receding hairline may make Malick Yalcouyé appear older than he is, but his records, the academy timeline, and the medical explanation all point consistently to the same conclusion: that he is genuinely 20 years old.

In a recent interview with Toke Makinwa on Toke Moments, Mo Abudu opened up about her journey in a way she rarely does, the successes, the fears, the burnout, and the comeback. She talked honestly about what it took to go from corporate executive to building one of Africa’s most prominent media empires. Here are ten things worth knowing about her.

1. She Proves It’s Never Too Late to Pivot

Mo Abudu walked into the media industry at 40. Before EbonyLife existed, she had spent a decade at ExxonMobil and worked in hospitality. A lot of people would look at that background and see a detour. She saw a foundation. The business discipline and professional network she built during those years are exactly what she used to create what came next.

2. She Recognised a Gap She Could Fillz

Her entry into the media started with a simple but sharp observation. International formats like The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show were dominating Nigerian local television, and there was no Pan-African talk show that genuinely reflected African stories, African struggles, and African success. She looked for it, and when she could not find it, she made Moments with Mo herself.

3. She Mastered Sponsorship Strategies

When she took her idea to MultiChoice and DSTV, they could not commission it directly and told her to go find her own sponsors. So she did. MTN backed season after season. Skye Bank and businessman Akinfewa provided crucial early support, including funding for her first studio at City Mall.

4. She Has a Significant Fear of Flying

10 Things You Should Know About Mo Abudu. Credit: Instagram/ Mo Abudu

This one surprised a lot of people. Mo Abudu has a severe fear of flying, particularly on Nigerian domestic flights. When she found that the studio facilities in Tinapa, Calabar were ideal for EbonyLife TV, she knew the project would require relocating her entire team; over 100 people and that airports would essentially become her second home. She was terrified, but she went anyway. Her thinking was straightforward: face it, or your vision stays exactly where it is.

5. She Builds Ecosystems, Not Just Projects

Television was never the whole picture for her. She established the EbonyLife Creative Academy, production houses, and cinemas. When COVID hit and the world was shutting down, she launched EbonyLife Place, and it became Nigeria’s top cinema despite opening at the worst possible moment for the industry. Her goal has always been to build infrastructure for the creative space, not just produce content for herself.

6. She Understands the Power of Delegation

She stepped down as host of Moments with Mo, and it was not because the show was struggling. It was a deliberate decision to give others room to grow and to allow the brand to expand beyond any single personality. For Mo Abudu, legacy has always mattered more than the spotlight.

7. She Took a Break to Protect Her Well-being

The Wedding Party and Chief Daddy are 2 of Mo Abudu’s box office hits. Credit: Wikipedia & IMDb

After producing multiple box office hits every Christmas; The Wedding Party, Chief Daddy, and others, the pace started catching up with her. The constant press engagements, the meet-and-greets, the promotional cycles, it was draining in ways that go beyond tired. Her children started expressing concern about her health. So she stepped back from the cinema deliberately, not because things were falling apart, but because she recognised that if she did not stop, she would have nothing left to give.

8. Netflix Opened a New Chapter

Mo Abudu Productions in Partnership with Netflix. Credit: IMDb

During COVID, Netflix came to her with a partnership proposal, and it changed the shape of her career. Through that collaboration, she produced projects like Castle and Castle, Blood Sisters, and Sunday Affair, delivering content to a global audience at a pace that did not destroy her in the process. It was the model she needed after years of the box office grind.

9. She Believes Collaboration Amplifies Impact

After seven years away from cinema and ten Netflix projects, she is returning with her new film The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives, scheduled for December. It will be distributed across Nile, Genesis Cinemas, Silverbird, and Flytime. She is choosing multiple distribution partners because she genuinely believes each one brings something different to the table, and that working together creates more reach than going it alone.

10. She Operates on Discipline and Constant Evolution

She is known for being up at 4 a.m. and staying focused on what the day actually requires. But what stands out most across her entire journey is that she has never stopped moving; from oil and gas to television, from television to film, from film to streaming, and now back to cinema. As she put it herself, when you have a vision, you face every single obstacle in front of it, because that is the only way it gets built.

A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Chisom Sandra Sunday, has been abducted by gunmen while travelling from her orientation camp in Niger State to Abuja, according to an appeal posted online by her sister.

Sunday Chidimma shared the account on her TikTok account @chidimma_33. She described how the attack occurred after Chisom finished her orientation camp. She was returning to Abuja to spend a few days before reporting to her Place of Primary Assignment in Niger State on Thursday, August 27.

What Happened

According to Chidimma, gunmen attacked the vehicle conveying Chisom and other corps members while they were en route Abuja. The driver was killed during the attack. Chisom and the other corps members were taken into the bush by the abductors.

The family was subsequently notified by the police but received no further updates from security agencies since that initial contact.

The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of ₦35 million for Chisom’s release and gave the family a 24-hour ultimatum to pay.

Chidimma’s appeal adds another layer of pain. She disclosed that she and Chisom are orphans who recently lost their mother, leaving them without immediate family support.

She is publicly calling on the federal government, NYSC authorities, the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Air Force, and the general public to intervene urgently to secure the release of her sister and the other abducted corps members.

Chidimma also appealed to social media activist VeryDarkMan to help amplify the case.

As of the time of this report, the NYSC, the Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies have not issued any official statement confirming the incident or providing details on rescue efforts.
