Asake, a Nigerian singer, was spotted among pilgrims in Mecca, one of Islam’s holiest cities, where thousands of Muslims gather during the holy month of Ramadan for prayer and spiritual reflection.
Ololade Ahmed popularly known as Asake, joined other worshippers from around the world to observe the sacred period in the holy city.
In the viral video, the singer was seen standing among other worshippers, patiently trying to get closer while security personnel and others pilgrims continue to move around the Kaaba (the holiest site in Islam, located at the center of the Masjid al-Haram).

The singer was lifted by those around him in an attempt to help him reach the sacred Black Stone in the Kaaba. The moment captured the attention of many viewers online, as the crowd surrounding the Kaaba continued to move in waves during the religious gathering.

The task appeared difficult due to the massive crowd of pilgrims gathered around the Kaaba, with many worshippers also attempting to approach the sacred site. During Ramadan, the holy city often receives an increased number of pilgrims, making access to certain areas more challenging for visitors.
Previously, the Afrobeats star posted a video on social media showing him praying at Rawdah, one of Islam’s most revered prayer sites located inside Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina.
It’s amazing to see such devotion and religious fervour from an artiste. Though netizens are wondering what he’s praying for so passionately.
