Toyin Abraham’s movie, ‘Oversabi Aunty’, premiered this Sunday, December 14, 2025, and in the usual movie premiere fashion, celebrity guests flocked to the event, offering perfect aso-ebi styles inspiration.
The dress code for the event was “Gele Skentele”, a theme perfect for owanbe (wedding parties). 
Celebrity guests nailed the theme to the letter and offered the perfect aso-ebi inspiration for people who will be attending wedding parties as guests or hosts.

1. Adesua Etomi
Adesua was probably one of the best-dressed of the night, showing off aso-ebi elegance in her corseted dress with dramatic sleeves and double wrapper.
2. Omowunmi Dada
A lace trouser and jacket is such an innovative idea for those who want to take a break from wearing traditional dresses.
3. Nelly Mbonu
The iro and buba made a huge comeback this year, and Nelly is repping with this classic outfit.
4. Efe Irele
Efe had the most elaborate gele we’ve ever seen, and we are here for it, paired with the double wrapper.

5. Iyabo Ojo
Iyabo took the double-wrapper trend up a notch in a colourful orange lace dress paired with the classic layered gele.
6. Enioluwa
Eni had two looks for the event, and each was a hit. The first look was a detailed agbada, and the other a simple kaftan. Our favourite thing about his two looks was the embroidery.

One thing we loved about Nkechi Blessing was how glimmering her gele was.
