Former Big Brother Naija housemate Vee Iye has given her opinion on the relationship controversy involving TikTok creator Audrey Cyril and her fiancé, Mr Presh.
The controversy started after several women made allegations about previous or overlapping relationships with Mr Presh even while dating Audrey. One woman, identified as Oma, claimed she remained romantically involved with him until January. Other women later shared similar accounts online. While Mr Presh has not publicly confirmed or denied the claims, Audrey has also continued with her wedding preparations without publicly addressing the allegations. Videos posted online by some of her friends shows that their traditional wedding has taken place.
Reacting to the situation, Vee focused her comments on the pressure women sometimes place on themselves to get married. 
“Your desperation for marriage will land you in trouble,” she said.
Vee stressed that wanting love, marriage and children remains normal. However, she warned women against allowing those desires to affect their judgement.
According to her, some men can recognise when a woman desperately wants marriage, children or financial security and take advantage of it. She also argued that society has sold many women a fairy tale of what womanhood should look like.
In her view, problems can arise when emotions begin to override logic.
Vee speaks on Audrey’s situation
Vee also addressed Audrey directly in her comments, describing her as someone who appears to genuinely believe in love.
“Audrey seems to be a very sweet girl that loves love,” she said.
She added that Audrey should not carry the blame for another person’s alleged actions. However, Vee warned about overlooking warning signs in relationships. She argued that naivety can come at a cost, especially when a person continues to ignore information in front of them.
Her response comes as Audrey continues preparations for her wedding despite the allegations surrounding her fiancé. Audrey, who has built a large TikTok following around faith and lifestyle content, became engaged to Mr Presh in July.
‘Apply logic at the same time’
Vee repeatedly stressed that her message was not against marriage. She said women can desire marriage and still approach relationships carefully.
“It’s okay to want marriage. It is okay to want to settle down. It’s okay to want love, but you have to apply logic at the same time,” she said.
She also questioned why society often places more pressure on women to secure and maintain marriages than it does on men.
Vee ended her reaction with a warning about remaining with a partner after discovering repeated infidelity.
